The Kids Are All Right

Hi All, the Kids and Mom are doing Great! They are feeding themselves, with a bit of help, and doing what babies do best, Eat, Sleep, and Cry! They have been just a dream to be around. They coo, and fling their little arms and legs around with great strength. We have been trying to get them on a schedule, but they are still on their own time. We are working on it and hope to have it solve shortly... We plan on going home on Sat. 17th. I've been busy digging out the house,(29" of snow has fallen), and getting stuff organized. We should be all set, with just minor adjustments as we learn what we need to do... Please feel free to add your thoughts to this post, we would love to hear from you all!!

Babies Have Arrived!!!!

So The newest KerrFinchski's have arrived! They were born on 2/13/07 at 11:47 and 11:48 A.M. They are doing great, 9's on their APGAR tests, and trying their hand at eating! Oh, did I mention, We had Two GIRLS!!! Mom is doing fine, a bit sore, but dealing with the pain like a trouper. I have been busily swaddling, rocking, and changing diapers. Here are some stats:

Twin A- 6# 3oz 19in. Nice curly black hair We think she looks like Mike

Twin B- 6# .5oz 19in. Nice curly black hair We think she looks like Cheryl

The Last Pregnant Day

So! Tomorrow is the day. It is the beginning of the 38th week, and the twins are monster size (for twins)! According to today's ultra sound measurement (allowing for margins of error), Baby B is approx 6 lbs 8 oz, and Baby A is 7 lbs 8 oz. They MUST come out!

The C-section is scheduled for 11am, and will be over in about 90 minutes. We will try to get an outgoing message on Mike's cell phone ASAP, so go ahead and call for an update and leave a message. Please don't worry if we don't get back to you right away - we're gonna be prety busy, but will call you as soon as we can!

Can you see how my navel is askew? My career as a belly ring model are most certainly over...

Allrighty then! I finally figured out how to trick the scanner (it is old) to scan the latest (1/23/07) ultrasound pics! Woo Hoo! It's the best I could do, and you might likely need to zoom in on your screen to get the best view.

The "portraits" of the babes are in 3-D. It looks a little squishy in there, eh? The other set of images are both of Baby B - the top pic is looking up his/her nostrils, so that you can see chin, lips, nostrils and cheeks. the second image looking down on her/his melon (the circle) and the arrow indicats hair. Both babies have hair on their heads right now !
